SURVEY THURSDAY – Sequels Better Than The Original

Welcome to a new blog feature, Survey Thursday.  Every Thursday, I’ll post a movie related question, usually based off of the releases opening the next day, where you can post your opinions and thoughts in the comments.  Then, the following Thursday, I’ll post the most voted result, and then ask you another question for the next week.

This Memorial Day weekend, we have two major sequels coming out, Kung Fu Panda 2 and The Hangover Part II.  In honor of these films, and many more sequels to release later this summer, I was wondering if any sequels this summer could be better than the first film in the franchise.  This leads to today’s Survey Thursday question: What are your picks for the best sequels that were better than the original?  Not that they count, but my votes would go to The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 2, and Casino Royale.

Share your thoughts in the comments!  Post as many movies as you like.

I wouldn’t count casino royal because that was Daniel Craigs first time and its such a long franchise that it doesn’t really count. The Dark Knight, Shrek 2, X-Men 2, and Fantastic 4 Silver Surfer are better sequels. I know Silver surfer wasn’t great, but it was way more entertaining then the first one
